Supporting Healthy, Ready-to-Learn Students

At Murphy Elementary School District, your child’s health, safety, and well-being come first. Our on-campus health teams are here every school day to support students so they can focus on learning, growing, and thriving.

Each school has a dedicated health office staffed by either a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) or a highly-trained health technician. Whether it is a scraped knee, a daily medication, or extra support for ongoing health needs, we make sure our students are healthy and ready to learn!

Immunizations

The laws and rules governing school immunization requirements are Arizona Revised Statutes §15-871-874; and Arizona Administrative Code, R9-6-701–708. Students must have proof of all required immunizations in order to attend school. Parental recall or verbal history of any disease is not accepted; therefore students who are not vaccinated must submit an ADHS medical exemption form. Vaccines must follow minimum intervals and ages to be valid. Arizona law allows K-12 immunization exemptions for medical reasons, lab evidence of immunity, and personal beliefs.

Arizona State law now requires all students, 11 years of age to have their:

  • Quadrivalent Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4)
  • Tetanus/Diphtheria vaccine (Tdap)
